Understand and preview Toshiba TPCL
TPCL, TEC Printer Command Language, is the command language used by many Toshiba TEC label printers. It describes a label layout, including media dimensions, coordinates, text, resident fonts, lines, graphics, 1D barcodes, QR codes and print settings.
This viewer lets you paste TPCL code or import a PRN file and obtain a browser-based preview. You can select label width, height and a printhead resolution of 203, 300 or 305 dpi. Supported elements include D dimensions, PC and PV text, LC lines, several XB barcode formats, TOPIX-compressed SG images and the XS print command.
The preview helps validate a label template before sending it to a printer. It can reveal incorrect positioning, rotation, font sizing, missing variables or an oversized barcode. The result remains a simulation: resident fonts and some behaviours may differ according to the Toshiba printer model and resolution.
